Albums

The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band played session work for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The collaboration led to the formation of Toto in the year 1976.



Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985, lead singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group and the band held auditions to find the new frontman. The band picked guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several demos and tapes from the past to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans, and the band embarked on a tour featuring former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
